Does your Yanmar have GREEN coolant?
Yanmar engines have an aluminum alloy engine. they have found that the old style green coolants (Prestone, Peak, Sierra etc, Ethylene Glycol based coolants) CORRODE the alloy in those engines. Because of this, they have put out a service bulletin asking all owners to remove the coolant, flush a cleaner through it, flush the system with clear water a few times, then add Dexcool rated coolant. We have a set price for this (Click the "Standard Services" link to the left, then "Engine Services",then "Coolant Flush".

Here is a quote about Dexcool... Dexcool is an organic acid technology (OAT) antifreeze, which has an extended service life of five years (vs two of green coolant). Although it  still contains glycol, OAT solutions may not be compatible with conventional inorganic-based coolants containing glycol (e.g., with silicates, borates, phosphates) and, if changing from one type to the other, the cooling system must be thoroughly flushed with clean water. Typically OAT antifreeze contains a red or pink dye to differentiate it from the conventional inorganic coolants (blue or green).

Protect your Yanmar engine. It is the best engine on the market!
