Here is a great package to make your boat sail better and be much safer. We will go to the top of the mast and inspect your entire rig for wear, stress and damage. Where applicable, we will dri-lube the sail track, tape the spreader boots, dri-lube the furling, windex, sheaves etc. Then we will do a static adjustment of the shrouds and stays. We tape the turnbuckles as needed after lubing them.

Next, we move to the steering. We remove the compass and inspect and lube the area. We adjust the steering cables at the quadrant and lube and inspect that area, along with the sheaves below decks. We will try out your emergency steering if you want to leave it out for us. (We find about 20% of the emergency steering systems are inop!) .....Quick... Whats the right answer to this question??? Steering failure is A) embarrassing B) dangerous C) preventable D) All of the above

The next item we inspect are the lifelines. These are usually neglected until someone falls through them and hurts themselves and sues you. We will lube and adjust them and tape if needed. We will replace cotter rings if needed. We then use a dry lubricant on all deck sheaves, pulleys, furling, etc. Lifelines have the word "life" in it because they are designed to save yours. Make sure they are up to the task!

THE PRICE?? This service is designed for maximum efficiency. Being mastwork requires two people, this combo inspection will keep your boat safe and allow both people to work at maximum efficiency instead of having one technician stare at the top of the mast from the deck, waiting to send up a tool. One person works high and the other on deck or below. Pricing is on an hourly basis with a 15% discount off the normal rate. The labor usually runs about $300 - $400. (Sometimes $250, sometimes $500, depending on circumstances, rust etc.) All prices are plus parts which will include things like tape, dry-lube, cotter-rings etc.
